Join Eve and Gary Wallinga on the scenic pathways that lead to the magnificent waterfalls of Lake Superior’s North Shore. And now in this new expanded edition, they also venture to northern Wisconsin and southern Ontario. Maps and directions to over 150 waterfalls are included in this unique guide.
The Wallingas spent years researching Waterfalls of Minnesota’s North Shore & More. They interviewed knowledgeable locals to find little-known waterfalls and then made numerous exploratory hikes along every creek and river, photographing the waterfalls and taking meticulous trail notes. This extraordinary book is the fruit of their effort — a useful guide for everyone from windshield tourists to back-country adventurers. Many of the waterfalls are located in North Shore state parks or along the famous Superior Hiking Trail, allowing readers to plan dozens of mini-adventures. This book is a “must-have” addition for every Lake Superior lover’s library.
